Our Client is a leading international PPP developer, with an established presence in the UK, is looking to appoint a senior development/bid director to oversee a number of high profile PPP projects in Australia. A full relocation and assistance package will be offered.

This role demands a thorough and demonstrable understanding (and past record within) the UK PFI process.
Role details:

- Lead the identification, financial, commercial and legal planning, development and management of PPP and non-PPP infrastructure asset investment opportunities
- Building and managing relationships and understanding across all government sectors and to support government departments’ requests for assistance and advice
- Drive the research for, and sourcing of appropriate PPP and other project opportunities
- Assist in creation of appropriate investment vehicles (infrastructure investment funds)
- Creating and structuring winning consortiums, in particular identifying the best available consortium partners including investment partners, construction and operations contractors and then developing and managing relationships with them
- Liaising and building relationships with financial advisors, investment banks, legal advisors, technical consultants, investors and other stakeholders
- Strategic bid leadership and control of transactions and competitive tenders
- Lead negotiations with the support of others – PA, finance documents, shareholder agreements and sale and purchase documentation
- Organise and lead financial and commercial due diligence and other investigations

Candidate requirements:

- Degree educated, MBA desirable but not essential
- Strong skills in strategic and financial analysis of projects
- Experienced at developing business cases; creating presentations and delivering information verbally and in written form
- High level of commercial acumen
- Sales and business development skills
- Research and analysis skills
- Negotiation and deal related skills
- A thorough understanding of infrastructure development, including the planning, procurement, funding and delivery of projects across a range of sectors.
- Experienced development, construction, engineering background
- Sound knowledge of PPP essential
