My client is a market-leading global construction and management consultancy driven by a commitment to excellence. Due to continued growth they are currently looking to recruit Senior Cost Manager to their office in Leeds

The Role

• As a Senior Cost Manager you will be responsible for acting as the key, day to day Client interface, ensuring that Client objectives are achieved through the delivery of a value added Cost Management Service.
• Inputting into the formal management of internal Cost Management Teams.
• Pro Active Cost Management Service from inception to completion of Projects
• Marketing and Business Development with a view to creating new opportunities.
• Utilising Internal Financial Management in order to monitor the ongoing margin levels and monthly fee/ resource forecasts for each commission.

Commission Management including

• Conducting feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
• Applying Value Management techniques
• Managing estimating and cost planning activities
• Managing the Procurement Process
• Managing Post Contract Cost Control
• Ensuring that cost checking and valuation work are managed effectively
• Whole Life Costings
• Ensuring that Final Accounts are negotiated and agreed
• Interfacing with the Client and other Consultants, at all project stages
• Where appropriate, leading a Cost Management Team
• As well as all other aspects of Commercial Management.

Candidate requirements:

• The successful candidate will have proven experience of working on large building/commercial based projects
• MRICS qualified in a related construction degree subject
