A privately owned national main contractor with a wide network of offices throughout the UK is actively seeking a business development manager for its Northern region.
Their reputation in the market is second to none and they have held their own within the current competitive climate and have actually increased their turnover within the region.
An opportunity has now arisen for a talented and well established Business Development Manager to join the team, reporting to the Business Development Director and Regional Director to help continue the growth of the business.
Primarily they are involved in construction of new build projects within the commercial, leisure and public sectors with values of schemes varying from £5m-£50m. Recent focus has also included renewable and EfW projects.
The role will be cover both pre construction, getting involved with the tender process, PQQs etc as well as traditional business development i.e. searching for new clients and suitable opportunities. The geographic region will cover the North of the England so the ideal candidate will already have a strong network within this region.
Suitable candidates will have at least five years recent experience in a business development role for a main contractor and candidates can come from either a marketing or construction background.
